Oat Avatar

AVATAR is a mid-early and medium-tall variety of spring oats (Avena sativa L.), developed by the Federal Agro-Scientific Center of the North-East named after N.V. Rudnitsky. It is recommended for cultivation in the Belgorod and Lipetsk regions, where it demonstrates high productivity with an average yield of about 44.2 c/ha and a maximum of up to 70.5 c/ha. The variety is distinguished by its resistance to powdery bunt and helminthosporium leaf spots, ensuring crop stability and reliability under unfavorable conditions.

The grain of the AVATAR variety is characterized by high quality: the mass of 1000 grains ranges from 30 to 38 grams, and grain natural density varies within 410-520 g/l. Protein content in the grain ranges from 10.8-15.5%, making this oat valuable for feed and food purposes. Additionally, the variety has good drought resistance, comparable to standard varieties, which allows for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions.

The AVATAR variety is also noted for its high adaptability and stability, combining high grain and dry matter yield with excellent grain quality. Raw protein levels reach 13.18-13.62%, fat content up to 6.18%, and kernel recovery is about 68.2%. These characteristics make AVATAR an attractive choice for agrarians seeking high-quality and productive oats.
