Lolium perenne 'Barduk' – a hybrid variety developed for cultivation in moderate climatic conditions of Russia and CIS countries. The plant reaches a height of 60–80 cm at full maturity and is characterized by high yield: the average fruit output is 12–15 kg/ha, while fruits weigh 0.8–1 kg/ha under optimal conditions. Seeds germinate quickly, forming a dense grass cover with bright green color and disease-resistant leaves.
Lolium perenne 'Barduk' boasts a powerful root system, ensuring excellent drought resistance and low fertilizer requirements. With regular watering every 12–15 days, the plant maintains good density year-round. Due to resistance to fungal and bacterial pathogens, including 'blight' and 'sheath blight', as well as pests, it is suitable for cultivation on arable land, meadows, and pastures.
The variety easily combines with other grasses – clover, ryegrass, red fescue – making it a versatile material for both agricultural and landscaping projects. It is widely used as hay for livestock and forage, as well as for lawns, roll-out and landscaping projects, sports facilities, and site development. Sowing is carried out at a dense rate of 150–200 g/ha, followed by regular watering and soil loosening with weed control.
Seeds are certified according to GOST 12.01‑2015 'Seed Quality' and are produced by the company BARENBRUG from Denmark. Due to high protein content, drought resistance, and low fertilizer needs, Lolium perenne 'Barduk' is an effective and economical choice for farmers and landscape specialists.
