Miscanthus KAMIS is a perennial technical crop of the grass family, developed in China in 2012 and quickly gaining popularity in agriculture due to its outstanding properties. The plant reaches heights of up to 1.5 m, has green leaves with white stripes along the edges, and small raspberry-red panicles that turn brown upon ripening. KAMIS is distinguished by frost resistance up to –34 °C, allowing it to be grown even in regions with harsh winters.
The key advantage of this variety is high yield and cellulose content: up to 20 to 30 tons per hectare can be obtained annually. Thanks to rapid growth and resistance to pests, diseases, and nutrient-poor soils, KAMIS does not require intensive care. The plant actively absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, making it a valuable element in the fight against climate change.
Miscanthus KAMIS is widely used as a technical crop: it serves as raw material for the production of paper, cardboard, packaging materials, and biodegradable disposable tableware. Additionally, the plant is used as bedding for animals, mulching, buffer strips, and soil restoration agents. Due to its versatility and ecological purity, KAMIS is becoming one of the key components of sustainable agriculture and industry.
