Description Waller
Waller watermelon is a very early, high-yielding Galia-type hybrid, suitable for cultivation in open ground and plastic greenhouses. The fruit ripens in 60-65 days, allowing harvest within 2-2.5 months after planting. The plant has medium growth vigor, with sprawling, large vines and dense foliage, producing 3 to 5 fruits per plant, ensuring high productivity and yields up to 60-70 tons per hectare.

Waller watermelon fruits are large, uniform, round, with an attractive brownish-yellow color and dense, clearly defined netting on the rind. Fruit weight ranges from 1.7 to 3 kg. The flesh is white with a slight greenish tint near the rind, tender and juicy, with high sugar content and a strong aroma, providing excellent taste quality rated 7-8 out of 9. The seed cavity is small, further enhancing consumer appeal.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major melon diseases such as downy mildew, anthracnose, fusarium, and powdery mildew, and tolerates stressful growing conditions well. Waller watermelon performs excellently in plastic greenhouses and withstands long-distance transportation, making it an ideal choice for commercial cultivation and marketing.
