Medoc melon is an early-maturing ground crop, ideally suited for growing on garden plots and in open ground. The plant is characterized by its unpretentiousness and high yield, making it accessible even to novice gardeners. The vegetation period lasts 80-85 days from seedling emergence to fruit harvesting, which occurs in July and August. The bushes are moderately vine-like and compact, allowing them to be grown either spread out or on supports, with seeds that can be sown directly or via seedlings. Medoc melon fruits have an oval shape and a bright yellow, dense but thin skin, ensuring high transportability. The mass of one melon varies from 2 to 4 kilograms depending on growing conditions and bush training. The flesh is creamy-colored, oily, and has a tender consistency, featuring a distinct honey flavor and aroma, making this variety particularly attractive for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into juices, candied fruits, marinades, and Eastern sweets. The Medoc variety is characterized by high resistance to typical melon diseases, including fungal and bacterial rots, and withstands drought well. The yield reaches up to 150 kilograms per one hundred square meters of planting, with 4 to 10 large fruits collected from a single bush. Stored harvested fruits are viable for 2-3 weeks, requiring timely use of the harvest. The cultivation agronomy is uncomplicated; the plant prefers sunny areas with light, nutrient-rich soil and moderate watering.
