Melon Torpeda

The Torpedo melon is one of the best and most popular varieties, known for its impressive size and elongated fruit shape. The flesh is white or cream-white, juicy and oily in texture, about 5-6 cm thick, with a pleasant vanilla aroma and sweet taste. The Torpedo variety has a medium maturity period of 60 to 90 days, allowing harvest in mid-summer—from July to August. Plants have sturdy stems and shoots up to 2 meters long, which are recommended to be tied to supports for ease of cultivation. Melons tolerate transportation and long-term storage well, without losing their taste qualities, making them an excellent choice for fresh sale.
