Sprint Melon is an ultra-early Galia type hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground, film greenhouses, and tunnels. The maturity period is 60–65 days from germination to first harvest, allowing for a quick crop. The plant is semi-vine with medium-sized green leaves that well cover the fruits, contributing to their quality formation and protection.
Sprint melon fruits have a round shape and weigh from 1 to 1.2 kg. Their surface is covered with a netting and is colored in a rich yellow-orange hue. The flesh, 5–6 cm thick, has a light green shade, differing in tenderness, juiciness, high sweetness, and bright aroma. The seed chamber in the fruits is small, which increases their market appeal. The melon does not crack, has good keeping quality, and high transportability, making it convenient for commercial cultivation and marketing.
The SPRINT hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew and Fusarium wilt, and also exhibits heat tolerance and drought resistance, which allows it to be grown in various climatic conditions both on dry land and with irrigation. Yield ranges from 5 to 7.2 kg per square meter, at a planting density of up to 10,000 plants per hectare. Due to its qualities and resistance, Sprint melon is an excellent choice for agricultural production, providing high quality and a stable yield.
