Megarin

The Megarin F1 watermelon is a high-yielding pineapple-type hybrid with a medium-late maturity period, ideal for spring-summer cultivation in Ukraine. This variety is intended for open-field planting and is oriented toward commercial production, ensuring a stable and high yield. The plant features vigorous growth, a strong stem, and dark green leaves, indicating good vitality and adaptability to various climatic conditions.

Megarin watermelons produce large, oval-shaped fruits with a ribbed surface, averaging 3.5 to 8 kg. The rind is dark yellow, and the flesh is dense, juicy, and light green. Sugar content (Brix) reaches 14%, providing a rich sweet flavor. Thanks to its good transportability and ability to retain market appearance for over a week, these watermelons are suitable for both fresh market sales and long-term storage.

The hybrid has a strong root system that provides resistance to various diseases and stress factors. In particular, this variety shows high resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fom 1, Fom 2) and powdery mildew (PM), reducing the need for frequent chemical treatments. Each plant forms 2 to 5 standard fruits, further enhancing its appeal to farmers seeking a reliable and productive variety for commercial cultivation.
