Melon Fiona

Stable Yields with Uab Agro Style

When growing the 'Fiona' melon in open fields, the farmer's main goal is to minimize risks while meeting delivery schedules. For an operator, this means avoiding the rush typical of varieties with extended ripening periods.

Field Characteristics and Harvesting

From an agronomic perspective, 'Fiona' shows excellent uniformity. Fruits weighing 2.0–3.0 kg are perfectly suited for standard logistics containers—they are not too large to crack during transport and are heavy enough for efficient harvesting. The bright yellow color of the fruits significantly simplifies the work of pickers: a ripe melon is visible from afar in the field, which reduces the percentage of losses and missed fruits during manual harvest.

Practical Cultivation Aspects

• Durability: The variety shows resilience to temperature fluctuations during the early development period.
• Resource Consumption: Water requirements remain within the normal range for this type of cucurbit, and the variety efficiently utilizes applied fertilizers to form marketable fruit mass.
• Transportability: The dense skin allows the fruits to maintain their marketability after long-distance transportation, which is critical for wholesale sales.

If you are looking for a crop that combines an intense ripening pace with predictable fruit size, 'Fiona' will be a reliable tool in your arsenal. Uab Agro Style has succeeded in creating material that does not require specific, complex maintenance, allowing you to focus on standard agronomic operations.
