Ukrainian 3 — a perennial herbaceous plant of the flax genus, reaching a height of about 50 cm. Its small linear-lanceolate leaves are arranged alternately, and blue flowers up to 2 cm in diameter adorn the plant for approximately 60 days. Flowering begins in the second year after sowing, making this variety attractive for decorative use.
The plant prefers open sunny areas with light, fertile soils, which ensures its abundant and prolonged flowering. Ukrainian 3 is low-maintenance, making it easy to grow both in gardens and on lawns. Seeds are recommended to be sown in spring in April or in late autumn in November directly into their permanent location, and after seedlings emerge, they should be thinned out after 2-3 weeks, leaving a spacing of 20-25 cm between plants.
This flax variety is widely used for landscaping various landscape compositions, including lawns, borders, flowerbeds, and edges. Due to its decorative appeal and suitability for cutting, Ukrainian 3 is excellent for creating floral compositions and decorating private gardens.
