Flax Zhivinka

Field Performance of the "Zhyvynka" Flax Variety

For farm operators specializing in oilseed crops, the "Zhyvynka" variety offers a reliable solution for producing high-quality raw materials for the dietary food market. Developed by the experts at the National Research Center "Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS", this variety is engineered for harvest efficiency. Its uniform ripening characteristics allow for precise combine harvester settings, which is essential to minimize losses of small-sized seeds during the harvesting window.

Operational Aspects and Agronomy

In the field, "Zhyvynka" responds well to precise seeding rates and soil preparation. Since the crop is designated for dietary use, operators must maintain strict compliance with crop protection standards, focusing on sustainable practices that avoid excessive pesticide residues during the boll formation stage.

• Harvesting Efficiency: The stem height is optimized for standard harvesting equipment, preventing clogging and reducing machine downtime.
• Processing Quality: Given its high oil content, the crop requires careful moisture management during post-harvest handling and storage to preserve its dietary properties.
• Maintenance Requirements: Weed control is crucial in the early development stages, as the variety requires clear access to nutrients to reach its full oil yield potential.

Success with "Zhyvynka" depends on the discipline of the logistics chain. From field to storage, ensuring rapid drying and cleaning is the primary maintenance task for the operator to guarantee the high oil quality expected by dietary product manufacturers.
