Lirina

The flax variety Lirina® is included in the State Register for the Volga-Vyatka region and is distinguished by its medium maturity and technological efficiency. It is resistant to lodging, ensuring uniform ripening and facilitating threshing. Lirina is characterized by high seed yields, ranging from 13.1 to 28.2 c/ha depending on growing conditions, with oil content in seeds reaching 44.3–46.2%. Fiber content in seeds is 16.3–17.2%, further enhancing the variety's value.

The variety exhibits enhanced drought resistance, which has enabled its cultivation area to be expanded from the Polesie and Forest Steppe regions to the Steppe zone. The technological efficiency of Lirina is demonstrated by its high suitability for mechanized harvesting, resistance to shattering and lodging, and uniform ripening. These qualities make the variety convenient for agronomic use and ensure stable, high-quality yields.

Lirina has optimal agronomic characteristics: 1000-seed mass is 5.6 g, vegetative period length ranges from 107 to 128 days, and plant height varies from 58 to 78 cm. Due to a large number of seed capsules and stable yields, even at lower plant density, the variety ensures high productivity and reliability in cultivation.
