Alfalfa PR54V46

Reliable forage production with Pioneer PR54V46

It is a predictable and durable tool for those focusing on long-term forage stand viability. When you establish a field, your goal is a steady yield for several years.

Practical agronomic resilience

The core advantage of this variety is its inherent "survival" capacity. In fields with high disease pressure, this hybrid performs consistently.

• Solid protection against anthracnose and verticillium wilt.
• Minimized risk of stand thinning caused by bacterial wilt and phytophthora root rot.

Operational performance

Regarding pest pressure, the hybrid effectively resists both pea aphids and spotted alfalfa aphids. For a farm, this translates into direct savings on insecticide treatments—the field stays healthy without unnecessary chemical input. The plant shows excellent regrowth speed after mowing, which is critical for high-intensity forage management. Given its density and stress tolerance, the 70–90 cm height range is optimal for all harvesting equipment, ensuring clean cuts with minimal losses, resulting in high yields per hectare.
