Alfalfa SW3211

American Genetics for High-Performance Forage

The SV3211 alfalfa hybrid from S&W Seed Company is a product of rigorous US-based breeding programs, designed for farmers who prioritize both yield consistency and stand longevity. In the competitive world of forage production, this hybrid has established itself as a reliable solution for producing high-quality hay and haylage.

Built-in Plant Health and Resilience

The core value of SV3211 lies in its comprehensive genetic disease resistance profile. By minimizing the impact of common pathogens, S&W Seed Company ensures that the field remains productive over multiple seasons. The hybrid features verified resistance to:

• Fungal Pathogens: Anthracnose, Fusarium wilt, and Verticillium wilt.
• Root Diseases: Phytophthora root rot.
• Pests: Significant resistance against Pea aphid and Spotted alfalfa aphid.

This genetic "shield" protects the stand from environmental stress and disease pressure, which is vital for maintaining the high plant density required for maximum biomass output.

Agronomic Profile and Harvesting

With a plant height ranging from 70 to 90 cm, SV3211 is engineered for efficient mechanical harvesting. It exhibits a strong regrowth capability, which is essential for operations looking to maximize the number of cuttings per season. The plant architecture allows for uniform development, ensuring that the harvested material maintains its nutritional integrity throughout the drying and storage process.

For growers looking for a combination of durability and top-tier yield, SV3211 represents the high standard of S&W Seed Company's research. Its performance is consistent across various soil types and moisture levels, providing a level of predictability that is essential for modern, profit-oriented agricultural operations.
