Alfalfa MADALINA

Lucerne of the Madalina variety is a forage grass with a high leaf mass percentage, ensuring its high nutritional value. This variety is characterized by early maturity and a genetic base including varieties with high winter hardiness and resistance to various diseases such as Fusarium wilt and brown spot. Plants have an intermediate plant type and are characterized by a high frequency of dark blue-purple flowers, which is a distinctive feature of the variety.

Madalina is resistant to lodging and well-adapted to cultivation in drought-prone conditions, making it suitable for regions with varying climatic features, including the Polesie and forest-steppe zones. Due to selective breeding, the variety has high yield, averaging 55.0 t/ha of dry matter, which is 6.4 t/ha higher than the average standard. Protein content in dry matter of green mass is approximately 18.5%, and protein harvest reaches 17.2 t/ha, indicating high forage value.

The recommended seeding rate is 20 kg/ha, ensuring optimal plant development and maximum productivity. The Madalina variety is included in the State Register for the Central Region, confirming its adaptation and efficiency under these conditions. Thanks to the combination of resistance to adverse factors and high productivity, lucerne Madalina is a reliable choice for feed producers aiming to obtain high-quality and stable yields.
