FRAVER

The FRAVER alfalfa variety is a medium-maturing, high-yielding variety included in the State Register for the West Siberian region. This variety is characterized by high resistance to verticillium wilt and good winter hardiness, enabling it to successfully withstand low temperatures and maintain stable growth even under challenging climatic conditions. Due to its intensive root system development, FRAVER alfalfa effectively absorbs moisture from deep soil layers, providing high drought tolerance and facilitating rapid recovery after spring vegetation.

The variety is characterized by high dry matter yield, particularly during the first cutting, with an average dry matter yield of about 51.8 centners per hectare, exceeding the regional average. The protein content in the dry matter of green mass averages 13.5%, and fiber content is 29.9%, ensuring a high protein harvest of approximately 8.3 centners per hectare. These characteristics make FRAVER an excellent choice for feed purposes, providing high-quality animal nutrition.

For sowing, seeds should be sown at a depth of 2 cm in March at a rate of 20 kg/ha. A key condition for successful cultivation is the application of fertilizers with at least 30 kg/ha of phosphorus and 30 kg/ha of potassium. Weed control is achieved using herbicides Bazagran or Treflan. The first cutting is conducted when plants reach a height of 8-10 cm, subsequent cuttings at 7-8 cm, and the fourth cutting should be completed no later than 35-40 days before the end of the vegetation period. Effective use of the variety is possible for up to four years.
