Alfalfa IDYLLE

Sustainable Feed Production with French Genetics

Caussade Semences has long been recognized for its focus on productivity in forage crops. The alfalfa variety «Idylle» is specifically designed for modern intensive farming operations where forage quality directly impacts livestock performance. Balancing high protein content with aggressive regrowth, this variety serves as a key asset for dairy and livestock producers.

Key Operational Advantages

With a plant height ranging from 70 to 100 cm, «Idylle» is highly manageable for standard harvesting equipment, ensuring that loss of protein-rich leaves during mowing and tedding is minimized. The primary scenarios for implementation include:

• High-Yield Silage Production: Its rapid recovery rate allows for 3 to 4 cuts per season, maximizing biomass output per hectare.
• Soil Health Improvement: The robust root system of this variety aids in soil structuring, making it an excellent break crop within a crop rotation scheme.
• Reliability in Varying Climates: Developed by the experts at Caussade Semences, this variety displays consistent vigor, ensuring stable production even in challenging weather conditions.

Maximizing Field Performance

For best results, field management should focus on maintaining a consistent fertility program, particularly potassium levels, which support the longevity of the stand. «Idylle» is built for farms that require quick turnarounds between cuttings without sacrificing plant density. By integrating this variety into your rotation, you ensure a consistent supply of quality forage that meets the high nutritional requirements of modern high-yielding livestock.
