Debut

The flax variety "Debut" has been included in the State Register of varieties and plants suitable for propagation in Ukraine since 2001. This early-maturing variety has a vegetation period of 82-86 days and is intended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones of the country. Plants reach a height of 58-61 cm, with compact, slightly branched stems. Flowers are medium-sized, open, with purple petals and blue stamens. Seeds are dark brown, with a 1000-seed mass of approximately 6.14 g. The "Debut" variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging and seed shattering, which contributes to maintaining yield. Yield ranges from 1.7 to 2.3 tons per hectare depending on growing conditions. Oil content in seeds varies from 44 to 47%, making this variety especially valuable for oil production. High plasticity of the variety allows for stable and high yields across various soil-climate zones in Ukraine. Due to its characteristics, the "Debut" variety is recommended for industrial cultivation aimed at obtaining oilseed. Its compact bush and resistance to adverse factors ensure convenient agronomy and high production efficiency. This variety is an optimal choice for farmers oriented toward high-quality and stable production of flaxseed oil.
