Lilac "Elena Vekova" – one of the most beautiful domestic lilac varieties, distinguished by its delicate and refined appearance. Medium-sized bushes have a compact, rounded crown, and leaves retain their dark green color until stable cold arrives, giving the tree resilience to adverse weather conditions.
Lush, loose lilac inflorescences form into narrow-pyramidal groups. Each bud is covered with creamy-green buds, from which large snow-white petals with long, slightly curved tips unfold. The double-flowered appearance gives them a luxurious and airy character, while in sunny days, mother-of-pearl sparkles flare up on their surface.
Abundant blooming begins at the end of May and continues until mid-June, creating a pleasant lemon-sugary aroma in the garden with light clove notes. Lilac "Elena Vekova" is unpretentious regarding planting location, survives winter well at temperatures down to -40 °C, is not afraid of rain, and withstands short-term soil flooding. Thanks to its good immunity, it is rarely affected by fungi, viruses, and pests, making it ideal for solitary planting at the entrance, near a gazebo, or in an open veranda.
