Lilac «Primroechnya» – an upright shrub up to seven meters tall, with a cup-shaped or rounded crown and dense leaves that lighten at the bottom compared to the top. The shrub is distinguished by large, lush inflorescences, whose length can reach twenty-twenty centimeters, and a diameter of up to twenty centimeters. The flowers have a cream-white hue and give the plant a delicate, elegant look. Unlike ordinary lilac, flowering begins in late June–early July, extending the period of decorative effect by several weeks.
Crystal clear aromatic properties – one of the main pluses of «Primroechnya». The flowers smell of honey and possess a strong pleasant scent, which fills the garden with spring fragrance. The plant tolerates drought and frosts well, demonstrating high winter hardiness; meanwhile, it does not freeze even in harsh climatic conditions.
For planting «Primroechnya», sunny locations with drained soil – loam or sand mixture – are preferable. The soil should be slightly alkaline or neutral; the plant does not tolerate groundwater stagnation, so in wet places it is better to plant it on small elevations. Thanks to its gas- and dust-resistance, the shrub is excellent for city gardens, hedges, and decorative groups with other flowering plants.
During the summer period, «Primroechnya» becomes a true center of attention: large inflorescences up to twenty-twenty centimeters in length create a magical look, and purple-orange leaves in autumn add bright accents. This plant not only decorates the landscape but also serves as a soil-stabilizing species, contributing to the stabilization of slopes and shorelines.
