Lettuce Taifun

Stable Yields for Commercial Lettuce Production

When cultivating the "Tayfun" lettuce variety from NPF Russian Seeds (Rossiyskie Semena), growers highlight the predictability of the outcome. This mid-season leafy variety does not throw surprises regarding cultivation techniques: it is well-adapted to standard environmental conditions, which is crucial for achieving a premium commercial look of the rosette in open-field conditions.

Growth Characteristics and Commercial Value

The plant forms a neat, bright green rosette. The leafy type is convenient for operators because harvesting is swift, and the medium weight of the rosette makes it easy to forecast planting density and total yield per hectare. This translates to simplified logistics and reduced post-harvest losses.

• Type: Leafy lettuce; does not require head formation, simplifying overall crop maintenance.
• Color: Vibrant green, highly demanded in the retail and HoReCa segments.
• Maturity: Mid-season, allowing for flexible planning of the sowing schedule.

In practice, the variety does not require specialized fertilizers beyond the standard feeding programs for leafy vegetables. Primary attention should be paid to the irrigation regime: "Tayfun" is sensitive to soil moisture levels, but when the protocol is followed, it provides a high output of marketable product. Maintenance is reduced to standard pest monitoring and timely watering. The variety shows good resistance to temperature fluctuations, which is consistent with the quality standards of NPF Russian Seeds.

For commercial growers, this choice is justified by the balance between seed investment and the consistency of the medium-sized commercial mass. It serves as a reliable workhorse for those who prefer time-tested solutions over experimenting with high-maintenance hybrids.
