Lettuce NESTOR

Technical Profile of the "Nestor" Lettuce

The "Nestor" variety from Ooo Nestor is a balanced solution for commercial leafy lettuce production. The primary engineering goal addressed by the breeder (Rimma Alexandrovna Komarova) was to develop a stable vegetative structure adapted to regional growing conditions.

Morphological Features and Development

The productivity of "Nestor" is rooted in its leaf development type, forming a dense yet well-ventilated rosette. The average mass of the commercial plant ensures optimal yield per square meter, minimizing logistical losses during transport. The mid-season maturity allows the crop to be integrated into standard crop rotations without the need for complex adjustments to light or temperature regimes.

Agronomic Advantages

• Rosette Architecture: The leaf shape promotes even solar distribution, which is critical for chlorophyll synthesis and maintaining a vibrant green color.
• Trait Stability: As the originator and patent holder, Ooo Nestor ensures seed purity, guaranteeing uniform emergence and predictable harvest timing.
• Leaf Physiology: The leaf blade possesses optimal density, making the lettuce resistant to mechanical damage during harvesting and subsequent post-harvest handling.

Choosing "Nestor" means relying on a proven genetic resource optimized for achieving predictable yields. Adhering to technical protocols during cultivation allows for the production of high-quality goods that meet modern fresh market standards.
