Lettuce Skomorokh

The 'Skomorokh' lettuce is a mid-season variety of leaf lettuce intended for open-field cultivation. The plant forms a semi-vertical rosette approximately 24 cm tall and 30-33 cm in diameter. The leaves are large, green, with a tender crisp texture and a slightly wrinkled surface, giving the lettuce an attractive appearance and excellent taste without bitterness. The mass of one rosette reaches approximately 370 grams, ensuring a good yield per plant.

Growing 'Skomorokh' lettuce can be done by direct seeding into the ground from April to May, or via seedlings sown in March-April followed by transplanting in May. The recommended planting scheme is 30x30 cm, allowing plants to develop fully and form powerful rosettes. Successful growth requires regular and moderate watering, which prevents both waterlogging and soil drying out, providing optimal conditions for lettuce development.

The 'Skomorokh' variety is undemanding and suitable for both experienced and beginner gardeners. It prefers sunny areas and does not tolerate deep shade, so it is best planted in open, well-lit locations. Thanks to its juicy, crisp, and vitamin-rich leaves, this lettuce will be an excellent addition to your diet, promoting health and dietary diversity.
