Tarzan

TARZAN — mid-late variety of head lettuce of the Iceberg type, intended for growing in open ground and winter greenhouses. The plant forms a tight head with juicy, crunchy, slightly wavy leaves of bright green color. Head mass varies from 600 grams to over one kilogram, while leaves are distinguished by finely cut structure and delicate taste. Leaf rosette is large, 20-30 cm in diameter, which ensures a good yield volume. The variety is characterized by fast growth regardless of day length and exceptional resistance to bolting, which allows for gradual harvest without loss of quality.

For successful growing of TARZAN, sowing seeds in open ground at the end of April - May at a depth of 1-2 cm is recommended, followed by thinning seedlings at the phase of 2-3 true leaves. A distance of 8-20 cm between plants is left depending on the growing method. Soil should be light, fertile, and neutral reaction. It is important to avoid sowing after cruciferous crops. Regular watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers are necessary to maintain plant health.
