Lettuce Samantine

Samantine — an ultra-early lettuce variety of Lollo Rossa type with intense triple red coloring, giving it an attractive and vibrant appearance. This lettuce features decorative leaves with a deep red hue, making it popular for fresh markets and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of dishes.

This variety is intended for cultivation during spring and autumn periods, both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, offering flexibility in agronomy and enabling harvests across different seasons. Samantine exhibits high resistance to downy mildew, lettuce aphids, and leaf edge burn, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss and minimizing the need for intensive plant protection.

The breeder of this variety is the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, renowned for its high-quality seed material. Thanks to its characteristics and disease resistance, Samantine is an excellent choice for farmers and gardeners seeking early, high-quality, and visually appealing lettuce with minimal plant protection costs.
