Description

Efficiency in Early Market Production

Kevin F1 by Syngenta is a strategic asset for commercial growers focused on the early season market. With a maturity cycle of 50–60 days, this white cabbage hybrid is designed for intense production schedules, allowing growers to maximize land utility during the prime early spring slot. It is a proven choice for those who value timing and market readiness.

Agronomic Resilience

One of the primary challenges of early-season cabbage cultivation is managing soil-borne diseases. Kevin F1 is bred with genetic resistance to Fusarium wilt, a critical feature that secures plant stands and protects your investment against common fungal threats. By mitigating these biological risks, the hybrid allows for a more predictable and streamlined cultivation process.

Field Performance and Marketability

  • Planting Density: To achieve uniform head development, a recommended density of 35,000–40,000 plants per hectare is ideal. This spacing ensures consistent growth, facilitating efficient harvesting operations.
  • Product Specifications: The hybrid produces round heads weighing 1.0–2.0 kg with a distinct gray-green color. The high density of the heads makes them excellent for both fresh market retail and initial processing requirements.
  • Post-Harvest Flexibility: Unlike many early-maturing varieties, Kevin F1 offers a storage potential of 2–3 months. This provides growers with tactical flexibility, allowing them to time their sales according to market conditions rather than being forced into immediate post-harvest liquidation.

Kevin F1 combines Swiss-engineered genetics with reliable field performance. It serves as a balanced solution for farmers aiming to build a high-quality, early-season harvest, ensuring that both fresh market customers and processors receive top-tier, marketable produce.
