Lettuce ROSALE

Technical Analysis: Rosalo Lettuce

Rosalo by Enza Limited is a premier Lollo Rossa lettuce variety, engineered for high-performance commercial production. This variety combines genetic stability with robust physical characteristics, ensuring a consistent crop harvest after harvest.

Morphological and Physiological Insights

• Leaf Pigmentation: The deep dark-red coloration is a hallmark of this variety, attributed to high anthocyanin levels. Unlike standard varieties, Rosalo maintains its vibrant intensity even under fluctuating environmental conditions, ensuring high market appeal.
• Plant Architecture: The variety develops a large, open-type rosette. This structural design promotes optimal air circulation, which is a critical factor in preventing bacterial soft rot and various fungal pathogens within the plant canopy.
• Yield Potential: Genetic selection focused on high individual head weight ensures an impressive yield per hectare, meeting the demanding requirements of both wholesale and fresh-cut markets.

Agronomic Performance

The early maturity cycle of Rosalo allows for precise, sequential harvesting schedules, maximizing the utility of growing space in both field and greenhouse environments. As developed by the Enza Zaden breeding program, this variety exhibits superior resilience to abiotic stress factors. Its adaptability to various substrates and hydroponic systems positions Rosalo as an essential choice for modern, data-driven agricultural operations seeking high-quality, uniform output.
