Lettuce MULTICOLOURED LACE

Why "Raznotsvetnoye Kruzhevo" (Multicolored Lace) has become a garden favorite

When planning a salad bed, one looks for both productivity and aesthetics. The "Raznotsvetnoye Kruzhevo" variety from the Gavrish company is exactly where gardening meets visual pleasure. This hybrid combines the characteristics of both Lollo Bionda and Lollo Rossa types, creating a contrasting tapestry of curly green and dark-red leaves in your garden.

Cultivation experience and growth

From an agronomic perspective, this lettuce is undemanding, making it an excellent choice for both backyard gardens and small-scale farming. Its early-to-mid maturity allows for staggered harvesting, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh greens. The rosette forms a structure that is dense yet loose enough to allow for good air circulation, which is crucial for preventing rot in humid weather conditions.

• Appearance: The intense leaf coloration remains vivid for a long time, and the "lace" retains its shape well after cutting.
• Resilience: The hybrid shows reliable results across various soil types and easily handles the temperature fluctuations typical of spring and summer.
• Usage: Due to its decorative nature, the leaves are perfect for restaurant plating, while the rich taste makes them an ideal base for fresh salad mixes.

Maintenance of this crop boils down to standard procedures: timely irrigation and inter-row cultivation. "Raznotsvetnoye Kruzhevo" does not require complex fertilization schemes; basic soil preparation is sufficient. When planted correctly, the rosette reaches its medium weight quite quickly, and the leaves remain tender without the bitterness often found in other leaf varieties when over-matured. For a grower, this means a high yield of marketable produce per square meter.
