Asmara (Asmara F1) is a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid lettuce variety of the Iceberg type, developed by the breeding company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is adapted to various soils and can be successfully grown in open ground from spring to autumn. Asmara is resistant to high summer temperatures and short dry periods, making it especially valuable for summer cultivation.
The plants form large heads weighing between 450 and 600 grams, with smooth surfaces and tender leaves.
