Lettuce Asmara

Asmara (Asmara F1) is a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid lettuce variety of the Iceberg type, developed by the breeding company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is adapted to various soils and can be successfully grown in open ground from spring to autumn. Asmara is resistant to high summer temperatures and short dry periods, making it especially valuable for summer cultivation.

The plants form large heads weighing between 450 and 600 grams, with smooth surfaces and tender leaves. The inner structure of the heads is succulent, ensuring good suitability for processing and packaging in film. Due to its loose structure and resistance to bolting, this variety is widely used both for fresh consumption and industrial processing.

Asmara exhibits high resistance to marginal scorching, flowering, and necrosis, significantly enhancing its reliability when grown under challenging climatic conditions. This variety is recommended for summer cultivation and is characterized by stable productivity and product quality, making it a popular choice among farmers and gardeners.
