CAPITOLINA

Capitolina cabbage belongs to medium-maturing white cabbage varieties, characterized by an elevated leaf rosette. Medium-sized leaves have a dark gray-green hue with a medium-intensity waxy coating; the leaf surface is weakly blistered and wavy at the edges, giving the plant an attractive appearance. The head of this variety is round-flat in shape, partially covered, with whitish flesh on the cut. External and internal stalks have medium length, which facilitates processing and use.

Head mass varies from 1.6 to 2.5 kg, while density is 4.8 points, indicating good elasticity and product quality. The taste of the cabbage is rated as good and excellent, making this variety attractive to consumers. The commercial yield of the Capitolina variety is at the level of 352-586 centners per hectare, which matches the standard of the Favorit variety and exceeds the Slava 1305 standard by 77 centners per hectare. The output of commercial product reaches 97%, indicating high cultivation efficiency.

The Capitolina variety was included in the register of admitted varieties in 2016 and recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region. The originator of the variety is the company LLC "EURO-SEEDS". Due to its characteristics and high yield, this variety is suitable for cultivation on an industrial scale as well as in private holdings, providing a stable and quality yield of white cabbage.
