Lettuce BANDELIR

Bandelir: Precision Dutch Breeding for Iceberg Lettuce

Iceberg lettuce cultivation demands a delicate balance between yield speed and disease resistance. Bandelir, a hybrid by Enza Limited, is designed to eliminate the guesswork from production, providing consistent results for growers who prioritize quality and marketability.

Engineered for Resilience

The primary edge of the Bandelir variety lies in its robust genetic profile, developed by Enza Zaden Beheer B.V. By focusing on fundamental threats to leafy greens, this hybrid significantly lowers the need for intensive chemical applications:

• Downy Mildew (Peronospora): The plant possesses a strong resistance to this pathogen, preventing leaf decay during humid periods.
• Powdery Mildew: Even under fluctuating environmental stress, the crop maintains its integrity and yield potential.

Why Choose Bandelir?

For large-scale producers, timing and uniformity are everything. Bandelir excels in both categories, offering an early maturity window that keeps operations efficient.

• Exceptional Structure: The dense, compact heads are highly prized in commercial markets for their aesthetic appeal and shelf-life durability.
• Vibrant Quality: A rich green color profile ensures your product stands out on retail shelves.
• Commercial Uniformity: High harvest consistency allows for streamlined labor management during the peak season.

Bandelir by Enza Limited represents the gold standard for professionals. Whether you are aiming for rapid market turnover or high-end retail supply, this hybrid provides the reliability needed to maximize your harvest margins.
