Lettuce Design

Professional Performance with 'Design' Lettuce

Selecting the right variety for greenhouse production often comes down to one factor: risk management. The 'Design' variety by Enza Limited, a classic Batavia type, is engineered to minimize those risks. For growers, this means fewer field losses and a more predictable cycle. With its Dutch origin and rigorous selection, 'Design' provides the consistency that professional operations demand.

Resilience and Agrotechnics

The standout feature of 'Design' is its robust defensive profile. In a commercial setting, Fusarium and Verticillium wilt are major threats to the bottom line; 'Design' shows exceptional resilience here. Furthermore, its resistance to Cladosporium and Tomato Mosaic Virus makes it an excellent choice for modern, intensive greenhouse systems where plant health is paramount.

• Plant Type: Batavia, known for its consistent head formation and high-quality crisp leaves.
• Visual Appeal: A vibrant light green color that stays fresh throughout the supply chain, ensuring high shelf appeal.
• Operational Ease: The plant is highly responsive to standard nutrient programs. It maintains a compact yet open structure, which simplifies harvesting and packing processes.

Working with 'Design' simplifies the daily management of your greenhouse. It requires less intervention against common pathogens, allowing the focus to shift towards maximizing output. If you are looking for a reliable, disease-resistant variety that delivers on both yield and visual quality, 'Design' is a top-tier performer.
