Lettuce Daywalt

Reliability first: Why professionals choose Dayvolt

In the Romaine lettuce segment, Rijk Zwaan's Dutch breeding program sets the benchmark, and the Dayvolt hybrid is a prime example. For growers aiming for early harvests, it is critical to secure not only visual appeal but also the confidence that the crop will withstand regional pathogens.

Key Advantages and Features

The main asset of this hybrid is its combination of ultra-early maturity and high disease resistance. In intensive farming, this allows for minimal chemical intervention and lower costs per hectare:

• Comprehensive Protection: High resistance to Downy Mildew (Bremia lactucae) and Lettuce Mosaic Virus (LMV) ensures minimal crop loss risks.
• Romaine Consistency: The plant forms a dense, vibrant green head. The leaf structure is characteristic of the type, making it a perfect choice for the HoReCa sector and pre-packaged salad mixes.
• Efficiency: Early maturity dates allow for maximum space utilization in greenhouses or open fields throughout the season.

Who is this hybrid for?

Dayvolt is designed for those who refuse to compromise between quality and timing. It is optimal for professional farms focused on early market supply of fresh produce. If your strategy involves consistently producing uniform, dense heads with a rich green color that handle transportation well and retain their shelf life, this hybrid will become the cornerstone of your production program.

By choosing Rijk Zwaan, you receive predictable results: no premature bolting and perfect adherence to the Romaine standard. It is a decision that minimizes losses and maximizes marketable yield per square meter.
