Casabella lettuce is a type of Lollo Bionda leaf lettuce with bright green leaves, distinguished by their pleasant color and rich vitamin content. This variety is characterized by early maturity, enabling early harvests, as well as a prolonged period before bolting, which extends the plant's usability. Casabella is resistant to downy mildew and has high adaptability, making it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under protected conditions year-round.
The plant exhibits good cold tolerance: it can germinate at temperatures from 4 to 5°C and withstand frost down to -5°C, broadening its cultivation possibilities across various climate zones. Plant height reaches approximately 45 cm, and the period from planting to harvest is 50-70 days. With proper care and watering, yields can reach 90,000 plants per hectare, with individual plant weight reaching up to half a kilogram.
Casabella not only boasts high resilience and adaptability but also possesses dietary qualities, making it ideal for use in fresh salads and other culinary dishes. Seeds of this variety, originating from the Netherlands, have optimal planting parameters: depth of 5 cm and spacing between plants of 10 cm, promoting uniform growth and high-quality yields.
