Lettuce ANNISOL

Consistent Yields with Annisol by Syngenta

Syngenta's Swiss breeding programs have long set the industry standard for leafy greens, and the Annisol variety is a prime example of this excellence. This early-maturing Batavia-type lettuce was developed to meet the demands of professional growers who prioritize a perfect balance between rapid maturation and robust disease resistance, protecting crops from common greenhouse and field threats.

Agronomic Profile and Resistance

The primary advantage of Annisol lies in its genetic protection. The most significant threat to the marketability of lettuce—downy mildew (Bremia lactucae)—hardly affects this variety. Furthermore, the plant demonstrates high resistance to powdery mildew, allowing growers to reduce fungicide applications and produce cleaner, more sustainable greens, a feature highly valued in the HoReCa sector.

Market Characteristics

• Plant Type: Batavia (leafy).
• Visual Qualities: Vibrant green color, attractive rosette shape.
• Size: Medium mass, ideal for marketing as whole heads or for processing.
• Maturity: Early, ensuring quick crop turnover.

Thanks to its genetic plasticity, Annisol adapts successfully to various growing environments. Growers rely on this variety for its predictability: it develops dense, yet tender rosettes that maintain their market-fresh appearance during transport. In the competitive agricultural market, this Syngenta variety remains a dependable tool for building a consistent, year-round production cycle.
