Lettuce Romeo

Reliable Yields with Romaine-type Lettuce

The «Romeo» variety from the Gavrish breeding firm is a preferred choice for growers focusing on late-maturing cultivars with predictable performance. This Romaine-type lettuce forms a dense, well-structured rosette of vibrant green color, known for its excellent marketability and extended harvest window.

Agronomic Advantages

• Disease Resistance: A key feature of this variety is its high resistance to downy mildew. This is critical in high-humidity environments, where the risk of fungal infections is significantly elevated.
• Growing Strategy: The late maturity cycle allows for efficient supply chain planning. The variety performs well both in open fields and under temporary plastic covers, maintaining high planting density without compromising product quality.
• Logistics and Shelf Life: Due to the dense structure of the rosette, «Romeo» withstands transportation better and stays fresh longer compared to loose-leaf alternatives.

Integrating «Romeo» into your crop rotation is ideal for securing high-quality produce during periods when other varieties might be prone to bolting or disease pressure. The plant forms a medium-weight head that perfectly meets the strict requirements of supermarket retail and the HoReCa sector.
