Description VELOR
Velor potato is a medium-late table variety with oval-round tubers weighing from 59 to 110 grams. The tubers have smooth white skin and light-yellow flesh with very small to small eyes. The plant is of medium height, intermediate type, semi-erect to spreading, with light-green medium-sized leaves and red-purple flower buds.

The variety is characterized by high commercial yield, ranging from 157 to 217 centners per hectare, with a maximum yield of up to 252 centners. Starch content in the tubers varies from 10.5% to 15.8%, making it versatile for various cooking methods. Velor has good taste and is suitable for salads, soups, and frying. The tuber commercial quality is at 86-91%, and storability reaches 98%, ensuring long-term storage without quality loss.

One of the key advantages of this variety is its high resistance to diseases and pests. Velor is resistant to potato cancer pathogen, golden potato cyst nematode, and late blight on foliage, and moderately resistant on tubers. These qualities make the variety especially valuable for cultivation in the Central region, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
