The Arsenal potato variety is a mid-season table variety developed in the Netherlands by the breeding company Agrico. The vegetation period ranges from 80 to 95 days, during which each plant forms 7 to 13 large, round-oval tubers with uniform structure. The weight of a single tuber varies between 83-118 grams. The tuber skin is yellow with surface eyes, and the flesh is light-yellow and dense, giving the product an attractive appearance and ease of processing. The Arsenal variety has a high content of dry matter and starch (15.7% to 19.6%) and a low concentration of reducing sugars. These characteristics make it especially suitable for processing into chips, flakes, and starch. Additionally, the potato has excellent taste qualities, allowing its use for boiling, baking, and making mashed potatoes. The culinary type CD confirms the versatility of this variety in culinary applications. The Arsenal potato demonstrates good resistance to potato cancer and golden potato cyst nematode, contributing to stable yields. However, the variety is susceptible to late blight of foliage and tubers, requiring attention during cultivation. The tuber storability is high — around 96% — ensuring preservation and market appearance during long-term storage and transport. Under favorable conditions, one hectare can yield 166-235 centners, with maximum yields reaching 281 centners.
