Adam2 is a male sea buckthorn variety intended as a pollinator for female varieties such as Eve or Augustina. The plant reaches a height of up to 3 m, does not bear fruit, but ensures high-quality and stable pollination, promoting a high yield of berries on adjacent bushes. Thanks to high frost resistance (up to –30 °C) and drought tolerance, Adam2 easily adapts even to unfavorable climatic conditions.
Female varieties Eve and Augustina are characterized by large, juicy orange berries, a rich sweet-sour taste, and high yield – up to 20 kg per bush. The bushes have a compact shape, a height of 2.5–3 m, and medium-sized berries (0.8–1.2 g) ripen at the end of August. Both varieties are compatible in terms of soil and climate requirements: sunny location, well-drained fertile soil with neutral or slightly acidic pH.
For successful cultivation, paired planting is recommended – one Adam2 bush for each Eve/Augustina bush. Placement scheme 2 × 3 m or 3 × 4 m, hole size – 50 × 50 × 50 cm with a drainage layer and manure. Fruiting begins in the third year after planting. Care is simple: moderate watering, mulching of the root zone, sanitary pruning in spring. Seedlings are packaged in stretch film and a box; roots are treated with a solution and sawdust to maintain moisture during transport. 14-day warranty, delivery possible via Nova Poshta or Ukrposhta.
