Hypeastrum «In Memory of S.T. Aksakov» – a unique Hypeastrum variety developed at the Botanical Garden-Institute of the Ufa Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It attracts attention with bright orange-red flowers with white stripes and strokes, as well as a narrow red border along the edges of the tepals.
The plant forms one scape up to 35 cm high, on which three–four large funnel-shaped flowers with a diameter of 14 cm are located. The inflorescence has dimensions of 14×27 cm, and each tepal is wide, short and rounded with wavy edges.
The flowering period is 28 days, while the plant maintains durability in a vase for up to 12 days, which makes it convenient for decorative use in gardens and parks.
