A variety developed by VNIICiSK, obtained from the self-pollinating 'Bere Bosk', regionally approved in the North Caucasus region. Breeders: P. D. Yurchenko, T. I. Moskalenko.
Tree is a trunk type, medium-sized and pyramidal in young age. Mature tree has a broad-pyramidal crown formed by numerous branches with densely arranged buds, branch angle 45°.
Shoots are long, medium-thick, straight, round in cross-section, greenish-brown, hairless, internodes of medium length. Buds on shoots are conical, moderately pressed, with dark-brown outer scales. Leaves are dark green, leathery, medium-thick, lobed, raised upwards along the central vein. Petioles are long, medium-thick, stipules absent.
Fruits are medium-sized (mass 150 g), one-dimensional, correctly pear-shaped, symmetrical, equilateral, with smooth surface. Surface is smooth. Main color is lemon-yellow. Cover color is absent. Skin is smooth, without rust. Peduncle is long, medium-thick. Calyx is absent. Receptacle is very small, medium width, weakly ribbed. Calyx is half-closed, subcalyx tube small. Axial cavity is small. Seed chambers are closed, large, with large seeds.
Flesh is light-yellow, medium juiciness, slightly sweet-sour, weakly aromatic, fine-grained, medium firmness, excellent taste qualities. Fruit appearance is attractive. Chemical composition of fruits: sugar sum — 13.3%, total acidity — 0.58%, ascorbic acid — 8.9 mg/100g, vitamin P — 82.2 mg/100g.
Ripening is autumn-winter, fruits keep for 1-2 months. Ripening is simultaneous.
Fruits are consumed fresh and for processing.
Fruit bearing begins on the 5th-7th year. Yields are abundant and regular. Winter hardiness of the tree is low. Variety is resistant to fungal diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high, regular yields, high commercial and taste qualities of fruits, attractive lemon-yellow color, resistance to fungal diseases, fruits are well transportable, do not rot upon damage.
Disadvantages of the variety: low cold resistance.
