The Shatlyk pear variety was bred as a result of crossing the Bashkirskaya letnyaya and Belarusskaya pozdnaya varieties. The tree is medium-sized with a rounded canopy of medium density and green leaves with a bluish tint. This variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and good resistance to diseases, particularly scab, as well as pests, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions.

Shatlyk pear fruits have a widely pear-shaped form, correct and smooth surface. The average fruit weight is about 120 grams, with individual specimens reaching up to 240 grams. The main fruit color is green, and skin coloration is absent. The flesh is white, medium density, finely grained, juicy and crisp, with an acid-sweet taste and a light spice. The chemical composition of the fruits includes 16.2% dry matter, 8.8% sugars, 0.51% titratable acids, and 7.62 mg/100 g of ascorbic acid.

The ripening period of Shatlyk pears falls in the second half of August, belonging to the late summer period. The fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and canning. The variety differs in medium yield and begins to bear fruit in the fifth year after planting. The fruits can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two months, maintaining their taste qualities and freshness for a month after harvest.
