Description BOSPOR
The "Bospor" walnut variety is distinguished by high stable yield and good frost hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and the formation of a large round crown reaching a height of 9–11 m. Fruits are of medium size (10.6–12.0 g) with an elongated-oval shape; the kernel is light-colored and easily separates from the shell, with an oil content of about 70%. Kernel yield is approximately 51%, ensuring a good percentage of usable product.

Fruit-bearing begins in the 5th-6th year, and by the age of 7-8 years yield reaches 9.0–10.5 kg per tree. Ripening occurs by the end of September, allowing for planning of harvesting and subsequent processing. "Bospor" is a self-pollinating variety; however, to improve fruiting, it is recommended to use it together with other Bukovinian walnut varieties.

Saplings of this variety adapt well to transplantation and are suitable for both independent cultivation and grafting onto other varieties (e.g., Ideal, Bukovina Bomba, Giant). Due to the versatile application of the fruits, they can be used in the food industry, confectionery, and as a healthy snack. The variety responds well to fertilization, which allows increasing yield with proper agro-technical care.
