RAHAT-LUKUM

Physalis «Rahat-lukum» – an early-maturing cold-hardy variety that begins to bear fruit as early as 90–95 days after germination. Plants are compact and branched, reaching a height of 30 to 50 cm, making them ideal for cultivation in limited spaces.

The fruits are round, weighing 6–12 g, juicy and aromatic. The taste resembles a combination of strawberry with pineapple: sweet-sour, rich aroma, and high moisture make them perfect for fresh consumption, as well as for making jams, compotes, and candied fruits. Dried fruits can be used as raisins.

The variety is resistant to pests and diseases, including late blight, as well as has the ability to keep immature berries throughout the winter after proper storage. For planting, it is recommended to pinch seedlings at the stage of one to two true leaves and plant them deeply up to the first true leaf.
