Festulolium UDZYACHNY

Forage Management and Performance

When operating with the 'Udyachny' festulolium, the first thing to note is the growth intensity. The crop exhibits a fast start in early spring, which is a significant advantage for logistics, allowing for earlier harvesting compared to traditional perennial grass mixes. From a field management perspective, this variety is highly predictable, responding well to nitrogen fertilizers and creating a dense, consistent canopy.

Operational Efficiency

For machinery operators, 'Udyachny' is a relief. The stem structure is optimal for harvesting equipment—it does not clog headers or mowers, and the biomass feeds into the choppers steadily. This smooth flow is vital for fuel efficiency and reducing mechanical stress, allowing the equipment to operate continuously without frequent stops for clearing blockages.

• Silage Quality: The crop provides a well-balanced mass for ensiling, with good sugar content, which facilitates effective fermentation in storage.
• Weed Control: Due to its rapid growth rate, the variety naturally outcompetes weeds, reducing the need for chemical interventions and lowering maintenance costs.
• Longevity: Designed for perennial use, 'Udyachny' maintains high stand density over several years, provided the basic nutritional requirements are met.

This variety is a practical solution for those looking to maximize green mass per hectare without overcomplicating crop management. It fits seamlessly into standard operational cycles, delivering high-quality forage consistently.
