Festulolum «FELINA» – a hybrid oat-type variety created by crossing ryegrass and timothy. Thanks to this combination, it combines the best properties of both parent cultures: cold hardiness and powerful root development from ryegrass with high green mass productivity and high sugar content from timothy.
The variety is characterized by high yield, hardiness, and drought resistance. It grows well under conditions of a high level of groundwater, which makes it suitable for use as a more productive replacement for timothy. «FELINA» grows quickly in early spring and reaches peak productivity in late summer, providing feed value due to its high energy content.
The crop is characterized by a semi-erect bush, medium stem length, and large broad green leaves. Seeds have an elongated shape, grayish-brown color, and a mass of 1000 seeds – 2.5 g. The variety is intended exclusively for feed purposes and shows no signs of disease or pest damage. It is suitable for a wide range of climatic conditions thanks to its winter hardiness and resistance to various stress factors.
