Debut

Festulolium is a hybrid grass obtained by crossing oat grass and ryegrass. Thanks to this combination, the plant inherits the best properties of both parent species: from oat grass, the ability to form a dense and durable green cover, and from ryegrass, a powerful root system and high content of nutrients in the fodder mass.

The «Debut» variety represents one of the most promising varieties of festulolium. It is characterized by high seed yield (about 669 kg/hectare) and stable productivity under various agrotechnical conditions. Thanks to these characteristics, it is actively used in agriculture as a fodder crop, as well as in research on improving seed production.

Festulolium «Debut» finds wide application not only as feed for livestock, but also in greening works: it is suitable for improving slopes, road verges, creating lawn cover on home territories. High growth rate makes its vegetative period short, which allows quickly restoring green cover layers even after intensive use.
