Festulolium Emerald

Stable Yields: Working with Festulolium 'Izumrudny'

When creating long-term pastures for intensive livestock farming, your seed choice dictates the farm's economy for years. Festulolium 'Izumrudny' is a product of Ural Federal Agrarian Scientific Center breeding, designed for those who refuse to compromise between ryegrass nutritional value and fescue resilience. As an operator, you get a "smart" hybrid that forgives minor agronomic errors and delivers consistent performance under challenging climatic conditions.

Growth Energy and Agronomic Features

The main advantage of this variety is its "fast start." After mowing or grazing, 'Izumrudny' recovers dynamically, which is critical for intensive pasture management. This allows for an additional cut per season compared to traditional grass mixtures.

• Nutritional Value: Crude protein content ranges from 15% to 18%. This provides the foundation for high milk yields without excessive spending on commercial concentrates.
• Versatility: This crop is equally effective for silage production and direct grazing. It creates a dense turf that withstands hoof pressure, preventing fields from turning into mud.
• Resilience: The hybrid is adapted to harsh conditions and handles temperature fluctuations well, a highly valued trait in high-risk farming regions.

From an operational standpoint, 'Izumrudny' is highly manageable. It does not require specialized equipment; standard mowers and forage harvesters handle the biomass efficiently. Moreover, the variety shows excellent response to fertilizer application, allowing you to maximize output per hectare. By choosing 'Izumrudny', you are investing in feed predictability and reducing the cost per ton of your final production.
