Achilles

Festulolium – a hybrid obtained by crossing ryegrass and oatgrass, which has already found wide application as a fodder crop and in slope greening. The variety «Achilles» is distinguished by a tall stem and dense foliage, which ensures high yield up to 500 kg/ha of green mass and fast growth with a short growing season.

The plant is characterized by a powerful root system, resistance to low temperatures, drought and mechanical loads. Thanks to the dense turf, «Achilles» withstands trampling well and regenerates quickly after mowing, which makes it an ideal choice for pastures, hay making, and ensilage.

The sowing rate for festulolium ranges from 25 to 30 kg/ha. The variety blends excellently with other grasses in mixtures, has a long productivity period – 5–7 years, which ensures a stable fodder flow for livestock and stable greening of plots.
