KRAVTSOV is a mid-ripening esparcet (Onobrychis Mill.) variety that is characterized by medium height and a semi-erect bush type at the beginning of flowering. The stem with the inflorescence has a hollow structure, and the leaves are characterized by dark green coloration and medium sizes of central leaflets. The plant's raceme is cylindrical in shape and loose, which promotes good air exchange.
The variety demonstrates high productivity both as green mass and seeds. During trials, the average green mass yield was 338 kg/ha, and seed yield was 11.0 kg/ha. Esparcet KRAVTSOV also proved to be an effective nectariferous and fodder plant, suitable for field sowing, grassing slopes, and sandy lands.
For cultivation, it is recommended to use a sowing rate of 70 to 80 kg/ha with normal row sowing and up to 100 kg/ha under cover of spring crops. When used in mixtures with other leguminous crops, the optimal ratio of seeds can reach 100.0% + 40%, which increases dry matter yield higher than pure stand sowing of esparcet.
